Meet Therapy Brands’ Senior Leadership Team


Dan Daniel

In December 2021, Dan became Interim CEO of Therapy Brands, bringing over 25 years of experience in both businesses and people to the organization. Dan is also Chairman of Therapy Brands and an Executive Advisor for KKR, a private equity firm.

Previously, Dan led performance and innovation across Danaher’s Industrial and Healthcare businesses from 2006 to 2020, when he retired from the company. His leadership and experience played an instrumental role in evolving the company culture with both DBS and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. He served as the executive sponsor of Danaher’s Diversity and Inclusion Council beginning with its formation in 2014. While at Danaher, Dan was responsible for the Industrial Technologies segment. He also led the transition of Pall Corporation into Danaher, as well as our Life Sciences and Product Identification platforms. In 2017, he transitioned to leadership of the Diagnostics and Dental platforms and in September 2019, helped lead the separation of Danaher’s Dental business into a standalone public Company, Envista Holdings Corporation.

Prior to Danaher, Dan spent 19 years with Arvin Industries, which became ArvinMeritor, in a variety of positions where, he was Senior Vice President and President, Light Vehicle Aftermarket.

Dan enjoys spending time with his three children and four grandchildren, and travelling, especially to Florida and Montana. 


Maria Perrin

Maria Perrin joined Therapy Brands in 2021, bringing with her an extensive track record of driving revenue growth, leading brand and organizational transformations, and building successful and dynamic teams within healthcare technology markets.

Prior to Therapy Brands, Maria was Chief Growth Officer for HMS Holdings (NASDAQ: HMSY) responsible for the company’s strategy, sales, marketing, account management and government relations. During her tenure at HMS, Maria led the growth strategy, helping to propel the company’s revenue seven-fold and transforming HMS’ brand into an industry thought leader and market leader in their sectors.

Before HMS, Maria was Senior Vice President, Sales, Marketing, and Business Development for Performant Financial Corp. (NASDAQ:PFMT), leading Performant’s entry into the healthcare market. She also co-founded a successful consulting practice that launched dozens of tech companies in emerging sectors. Maria has held financial and operational leadership roles at BestFoods, Nissan, and other Fortune 100 companies.

Maria actively mentors start-up companies and entrepreneurs, working with programs such as Springboard Enterprises, Venture Mentor Group, and others. She is on the Executive Editorial Board at Fierce Healthcare and is a frequent speaker and writer on industry trends and leadership. Maria has a BA in Economics from UCLA and an MBA from the University of Miami. She lives in Boca Raton, Florida.


Kelley Blair

Kelley has more than twenty years of experience in healthcare operations, sales, solution management, and strategy. 

She brings deep expertise in billing and revenue cycle management with a proven track record of developing and scaling go to market programs and business operations. 

She began her career in IT as an analyst supporting a health system move from paper to an EHR and since then has worked in and scaled growth in both large and small software and services environments.

Before joining Therapy Brands, Kelley held the role of Senior Vice President and General Manager at Change Healthcare, where she oversaw the development and execution of their health system services market segment’s growth strategy. She drove revenue and client retention while also responsible for full P&L and operations management of onshore and global team members for Health Systems Tech Enabled Services.

Kelley resides in Chicago with her spouse. She loves high-growth environments and is passionate about making a difference in healthcare.


Gavin Poole

Gavin is responsible for all financial aspects of Therapy Brands including accounting, financial operations, planning and analysis, and tax and treasury. Prior to his role at Therapy Brands, he spent 15 years at healthcare solutions provider, Henry Schein, in various financial leadership positions including several Global portfolio CFO roles. Gavin began his career at Deloitte where he spent five years in audit, specializing in Entrepreneurial Services as well as corporate finance advisory.

Gavin holds a Bachelor of Commerce, with majors in accounting and information systems, as well as a Post-Graduate Diploma in accounting, finance, taxation and auditing from University of Cape Town, South Africa. He is also a registered accountant with the Institutes of Chartered Accountants in England, Wales and South Africa.

He has served in many community volunteer positions including as Treasurer of the Greater Birmingham Youth Lacrosse Association, Treasurer of Miracle Corners of the World, and President of Vulcan Triathletes, Inc.

Gavin lives in Birmingham with his wife and three children. In his free time, he enjoys running, mountain biking, hiking and brewing, and often participates in triathlons. He has run on every continent except Antarctica (but that’s next!)


James Hughes

James is an experienced technology executive with more than 10 years of successful leadership experience producing results for publicly traded and private technology companies. A proven strategic leader, he has added significant value to the organization through the development, execution and operations of mission critical technology strategy and business plans. James is responsible for product management, software engineering, quality assurance, information technology, development operations, security, mergers and acquisitions and innovation at Therapy Brands.

Prior to Therapy Brands, James spent 13 years at digital legal services provider Epiq in various technology roles of increasing responsibility. James began his career as a software developer for Datasystem Solutions and Creative Healthcare Systems.

James holds a Bachelor of Science degree in computer information systems from Missouri State University. He lives in Kansas City, with his wife, two children and dog, Truman. In his free time, he enjoys sports, the outdoors, travel and home distilling.
